I had a few emails about my make-up routine so I thought I would share with you all! I also wanted to show you my skin care routine, as taking care of my face is something I am completely OCD about. I suffered from acne in my teens & early twenties. I am still dealing with the side effects from it now, even though the acne is gone.
Let's start with the make-up (the fun stuff). My routine is a mix of high and low products. Some products I am willing to spend the extra money on and some, not so much.
Face: I start with this Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. I apply with my beautyblender and only use a small amount of it. It's a little pricey, but it lasts so long. I let that dry while I curl my eyelashes. Then I use this Mac Select Cover Up to cover up blemishes or redness with this brush. Next I apply my foundation with this brush and use my beautyblender after so the result isn't so "cake like." I then use concealer under my eyes and blend it in with the beautyblender too. I highly recommend washing your beautyblender with the cleaner. I apply a small amount of this powder with this brush. I end with the Laura Mercier setting powder, which is absolutely amazing & use this brush.
Eyes, Brows & Lips: I tend to use cheap eye shadows from target, like ELF. And use these eyeshadow brushes. I have been using the same mascara for years, it's the best! You can find it at Sephora. I use a Revlon eyeliner. My eyebrows are super light so I use a light blonde shade of this eyebrow pencil and finish with the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow primer, which helps keep the brow in place. My go to lipsticks are usually from MAC, my favorite is "Angel."
Face Wash & Moisturizer: I have been using Desert Essence face wash and moisturizer since 2011 & absolutely love it! I usually get the big size bottle and have my own container to refill. I also use their exfoliator. I use the Clarisonic and use the standard head that it comes with at night and in the morning, I use this cashmere head. At night, I just switch my moisturizer to Kiehl's and use this eye cream. I usually do a mask about 2-3 times a week, although you can use this one every day.
I hope this answered many of your questions & of course, if anymore, please feel free to ask!
Thanks so much for reading xo
