Leighton's Blessing Day

Skirt | Top | Heels | Necklace

It has been awhile! Motherhood has officially taken over and consumed me 24/7 & I love every second of it! My goal is to post at least 3 times a week.

We had a blessing ceremony for LJ a few Sundays ago at a local restaurant. Little background, we are not super religious and didn't want her to be baptized into a specific religion. We want her to make her own decision when she is old enough. So we had an officiant "bless" her into this world surrounded by our family and friends!

I planned on getting Leighton's dress made from my wedding dress, but life got in the way and I just didn't do it in time. I was bummed about it, but I found this dress for her and loved it! I got it from Nordstrom, but they no longer offer it. I didn't want anything too long, just something simple and that she could wear the whole time. Here is one, it is long, but you could easily get it altered to ankle length! I got her cake topper & flower headband from Etsy. We got her a monogrammed white blanket as a gift from us, funny thing is I actually planned on wrapping her in it that day because I thought it would be chilly, but the weather ended up being really nice!

I was going to wear a white dress, but decided not to because I wanted Leighton to just be in white. I LOVED the skirt I wore and just paired it with a simple white top. And these suede blue heels were the perfect fall touch! Here is Greg's suit jacketsuit pantsshirttie and shoes (on sale!). He is obsessed with these suits, he has them three colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
