Leighton's Blessing Day

Skirt | Top | Heels | Necklace

It has been awhile! Motherhood has officially taken over and consumed me 24/7 & I love every second of it! My goal is to post at least 3 times a week.

We had a blessing ceremony for LJ a few Sundays ago at a local restaurant. Little background, we are not super religious and didn't want her to be baptized into a specific religion. We want her to make her own decision when she is old enough. So we had an officiant "bless" her into this world surrounded by our family and friends!

I planned on getting Leighton's dress made from my wedding dress, but life got in the way and I just didn't do it in time. I was bummed about it, but I found this dress for her and loved it! I got it from Nordstrom, but they no longer offer it. I didn't want anything too long, just something simple and that she could wear the whole time. Here is one, it is long, but you could easily get it altered to ankle length! I got her cake topper & flower headband from Etsy. We got her a monogrammed white blanket as a gift from us, funny thing is I actually planned on wrapping her in it that day because I thought it would be chilly, but the weather ended up being really nice!

I was going to wear a white dress, but decided not to because I wanted Leighton to just be in white. I LOVED the skirt I wore and just paired it with a simple white top. And these suede blue heels were the perfect fall touch! Here is Greg's suit jacketsuit pantsshirttie and shoes (on sale!). He is obsessed with these suits, he has them three colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Winter Pastels

Top: Nordstrom | Jeans: Nordstrom | Heels: J. Crew (old) | Bag: Tory Burch | Necklace: Baublebar (similar here| Watch: Michael Kors Bracelet: Nordstrom | Ring: Baublebar (identical here)

Finally an outfit post!! It has been way too long. First thank you all so much for the support and love on our pregnancy announcement, we're still over the moon! I know I said I would be back on here more frequently, but my tiredness has consumed my life. To make a long story short, I have an under-active thyroid, which makes me extremely tired, so pregnancy on top of that didn't make it better. I started medication 2 weeks ago, so I am hoping that will kick in soon and I will feel more like a normal person, rather than a zombie.

This outfit was shot before I was preggo, or actually I may have been here, just not have known! I love wearing pastel colors all year, not just in the warmer months. You really can't go wrong with a cute top, jeans and heels!

Thanks so much for stopping by, xox

Casual in London

Jacket: Target (identical hereTop: Nordstrom Jeans: Nordstrom Necklace: Nordstrom Flats: J. Crew Earrings: Nordstrom Bag: Tory Burch (similar hereSunglasses: Karen Walker Bracelets: Nordstrom

We really lucked out with great weather in London. It was chilly in the morning then only went in the 70's in the day! So a jacket, jeans and flats were perfect. I love this color jacket because it goes with EVERYTHING! It paired perfect over this top. I got this top right before my trip and threw it in my bag last minute without trying it on & it definitely is a keeper. It's super flattering and will look amazing with different colored jeans & booties for Fall!

We're off to New York for my husband's best friend's wedding! The rehearsal dinner is tonight & the wedding is tomorrow (and I still have no idea what I am wearing).

Enjoy your day!

Boardwalk Ready

Top: J. Crew Jeans: Nordstrom (budget friendlyBag: Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM Shoes: Old Navy (identical hereEarrings: Nordstrom Sunglasses: Karen Walker

I finally got to wear this top from J. Crew. It's my favorite print they had this summer, it's on sale & available in a dress and skirt too! I paired with my over-worn, but clearly favorite pair of jeans. You really can pair any top with white jeans, I think that's what I love most about them. I got some questions on this bag, it is the Neverfull MM in the Damier Azur print with the Rose Ballerina interior, you can find it here. I also just got a shaper for it from here & LOVE it!

We went "down the shore" aka to the beach & went on the boardwalk a few weekends ago. It does get a little chilly at night with the breeze, so I opted for jeans instead of a sweater. And of course flip-flops are required when you're at the shore.

Hope you're enjoying your week so far!

What to Pack for a Tropical Vacation

Since I got such great feedback on my Greece packing post, I figured I would do one for a Tropical place! This isn't just for Mexico, it's anywhere with water & the ocean. I try my best to just use a carry-on bag when leaving for 5 days or less, especially if you're going to an island/tropical place. You will see why this works and that you truly don't need as many clothing items as you think.

Always start with a list, even if it's not that many days. It's always good to double check, this time I almost forgot my contact solution! Once you have your list, start with clothing.

-Shorts
-Tees
-Tanks
-Dresses
-Pj's
-Undergarments
-Bathing Suits
-Cover-ups

Once you have them in the suitcase, grab your accessories, make-up bag & toiletries.

-Jewelry
-Sunglasses
-Hat
-Makeup
-Everyday Toiletries
-Sunblock

Along with your carry-on luggage, have a good size tote. I use this one and it's the perfect size. You want to put things in here that you need to easily access:

-Passport
-Boarding Passes
-Magazines
-Ipad
-Headphones
-Wallet
-Snacks

I hope this was helpful & please let me know if you have any questions by leaving a comment below!

Summer Whites

Tee: Madewell (favorite tee!) Jeans: J. Crew | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (love thisSunglasses: Ray-Ban Shoes: Nordstrom (on sale!) Necklace: Nordstrom Earrings: Loren Hope

Now that it is officially summer, it's only right to wear white! I love an all white outfit because you can play with your accessories. A bright pop of color with a cute bag & a neutral sandal will complement any white outfit. These sandals are currently 25% off and can be worn with jeans, shorts or a dress. And it doesn't hurt that they are super comfortable!

Sorry for my lack of posts lately, I haven't had much time to take photos. We're going to DC this weekend, so I will definitely take some there. And I will be on a mission for a new bag :)
